His name is Dakota. A tiny Yorkie with enough attitude to be a Doberman. he didn't like kids, but he tolerated them. He hated cats, and especially hated the mailman. Even bit the mailman once! More than any of the above, he was a very pampered dog. See, he once belonged to my mom. My mom was a cat person, loved everything about cats. So, when she came home with this tiny fur ball, weighing less than a pound, I was totally shocked! She loved this puppy more than anything. He was good for her. When she got sick, my Nan took care of him, and when she passed away, my brother took him, and has had him ever since. Dakota has been my brother & SIL's baby for 14 years. I thought he was spoiled when my mom had him, but nothing compares to the sweet life he's lived with my brother & SIL. He's been sick {old age related stuff} for a few months, and recently my SIL took him to the vet, to go over options, but this morning, sweet Dakota went to doggie heaven. Not that i...
Thursday, Oct 8. . . . Harper was 4 months old! I cannot believe she is already 4 months old. I wish I could slow down time, and keep her a baby for a little while longer. She is 13.9 lbs & 26 1/4 long. She is long & slim. She had to get two shots, and she did great as usual. - rolled over from back to front 10/2/15 - still HATES tummy time. - loves to nurse, and snuggle. - she chews on everything....from toys to her fingers & toes! - started cereal on 10/8 & she LOVES it. Her older sisters have given her the nickname, 'Smiley.' She wakes up smiling, and is just the happiest baby. :)
{ those WERE white converse } Yesterday, we got together with several families from my mom's group and had a picnic at the park. GREAT idea but it started raining about 30 minutes after we arrived. Thank goodness the playground had a huge pavilion but the kids did not want to stay under the pavilion the whole time. So, what happened? You guessed it....we let them play in the rain. With rain, comes mud! If you know me at all, you know that I do not like for Rylee to get muddy. She has never played in the rain, much less the mud. Against my better judgement, I gave in and let her play in the rain and all the mud puddles. She had the best time. She would run, jump and laugh and I know she hit every mud puddle the park had to offer. If you are wondering, yes - the whole time this mommy was freaking out that her little girl was soaked and muddy but at the end of the day, she had a blast and that's all that mattered! * thank ...
