Spring Break

Image
We're back from Spring Break! We really enjoyed spending time with family & friends. While in Dallas, we took the train to the Dallas Zoo.  The kids really enjoyed the zoo {and the train ride} and the bigger kids {me, Michael & Sarah} were worn out - ha! After the zoo, we stopped at Corner Bakery in West End and enjoyed a late lunch on the patio. It was nice, and of course, we love to people watch. ;-)  While in Dallas, I celebrated my 35th birthday. Yes, 35th. Saturday night, we all went to dinner to celebrate. We ate at a really great Mexican restaurant on the lake. SUPER FUN!  Sunday, we had a "Stock The Nursery" shower for my sister in law, Sarah. Sarah & Michael have been trying to adopt for a while now, but recently they've decided to go the foster-to-adopt route. I am so excited for them. They are done with their classes and have completed one home study and have one home study to go. Since they do not have any kids, they will need all

An Old Irish Blessing May love and laughter light your days, and warm your heart and home. May good and faithful friends be yours, wherever you may roam. May peace and plenty bless your world with joy that long endures. May all life's passing seasons bring the  best to you and yours.

Pregnancy

So, today I had my yearly exam and all was well until the subject of baby #3 came up. EEEEEEEEEEK! I have to admit, I've been thinking about it for a few months {keep in mind -  THINKING about it} My doctor and I discussed it for a while and of course, I asked every question I could think of, and still left there not sure I want to go down that road. Let's face it, I am getting older and so are my eggs. They've never been "super eggs" to begin with, I did several rounds of Clomid with both pregnancies. Now, I am almost 35 {in pregnancy years, that's old - so I was told today} and 35 {GASP} has always been my SCARY age. I will be the first to admit, it makes me a little nervous to get pregnant at this age. Everything I've read about pregnancy after 35 doesn't help either. I'm just scared. I loved being pregnant with both my girls, and labor & delivery was not bad. If I were 5 years younger, I'd get pregnant again in a heart beat, but ther

Show Us Your Life - Family

My mom - she was one of the most funniest people I know. She had this dry sense of humor that would make you laugh so hard, you'd almost pee your pants! :) She was also very strong willed - that's totally where I get it from. Growing up, we definitely had our ups & downs. It wasn't until I was older that our relationship developed into something fabulous. Although it was cut short when she passed away, I will forever cherish the time we had together -the good and the bad. I wish she were still with us, my girls would love her and she would be spoiling them rotten as we speak. {sorry, I do not have any photos of my mom. I recently got a new  computer and haven't transfered any over yet}  My dad- my dad is so laid back and cool. He kind of just goes with the flow of things. We have a great father/daughter relationship. He is a lover of all things nice - I think that's where I got it from. ha! He lives in Houston, so I don't get to see him like I would like,
