Rylee

Well, it happened. First broken bone. Four weeks weeks ago, Rylee broke her foot. We went to ortho, and he put her in a walking boot. She couldn't bear any weight on it, and had to use her crutches 24/7. BTW, an 8 year on crutches is a pain in the rear. For real. Well, after 3checks ups & 3 more x-rays, yesterday he decided to put her in a hard cast. GREAT! It's summer in Texas, and she's in a hard cast. She's not happy! No swimming, no dancing, just sitting around, watching TV. BOO! I had a feeling he'd put her in a cast, because after 4 weeks, she was still complaining of pain. I just wish he would've put her in a hard cast from day one - we'd almost be done with it. 

Of course, she chose the brightest cast they had - NEON Pink! ;)

Bless her heart...casts are no fun and even worse when it's the dead heat of the summer. She sure looks cute though with the pink cast.

My little girl broke her arm in kindergarten. We had to have 2 casts. The first was neon pink and for the second one, she chose a dark purple. So goes the favorite color of girls!

Monday, my sweet little Harper was 6 months old. SIX months old already. It really does seem like she was just born yesterday. A few stats - She is rolling all over the place.  - She loves her exersaucer - The girl loves to eat. State Fair of Texas

A few weekends ago, we went to the fair. It was super crowded, but the weather was perfect. The girls had a blast riding rides, eating fair food, and looking at all the animals. Harper was so good. She slept the majority of the time, but when she was awake, she just played in her little bassinet. I think she enjoyed the fresh air. ;)

Texas Tech v. Texas Longhorns

My husband is from New Deal, Texas {a very TINY town around the corner from Lubbock - Ha!}. He went to Tech and is a HUGE Tech football fan. Up until this year, my 4 yr old, Rylee has followed in her daddy's footsteps. She loved the Red Raiders and would always have her "guns up!" Not too long ago, she informed her daddy that she QUIT the Red Raiders and is now a Longhorn! A daddy's heart was broken on that summer night. {yes, she goes around with her horns in the air and yes, her daddy cringes!} Can't wait to see what happens tonight when the Red Raiders play the Longhorns. Will she have her "guns up" or her "horns" up? We shall see.... Until next time...... xoxo
